Frequently asked questions

I'm a University of Birmingham Dubai alumni, does this apply to me?

Yes! Our licensure and programme accreditations, once granted, will be applied to all of our existing academic programmes in Dubai and that status will also apply to the qualifications achieved by all students who have already graduated from the University of Birmingham Dubai.

Will you still be licensed by the KHDA?

As an institution, we have chosen to base ourselves in the Emirate of Dubai. We will continue to be licensed to operate in Dubai by the Dubai Government through the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

The KHDA are still responsible for our Higher Education Permit to operate in Dubai, in line with their custodianship of the quality of Higher Education for the Emirate of Dubai. KHDA will continue to assess the initial approval of all of our programmes to ensure they are of quality and have real value and relevance to students in Dubai.

The KHDA continue to be an incredibly important partner in developing our contribution to Higher Education in Dubai, demonstrated by our long-term commitment to Dubai with the building of our new campus.
