Our 3-year program includes core modules, employability events, and advanced courses to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for managerial success in accounting and finance.
In your first year, complete 6 core modules and 4 compulsory Ministry of Education modules. Develop your academic and business communication skills, master decision-making, and gain foundational knowledge in economics, accounting, and statistical analysis for a strong start to your degree.

The BSc Accounting and Finance course offers several exam exemptions from professional Accounting and Finance qualifications including:
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
Depending on the modules you study over the course of the degree and the results you obtain, you could secure exemptions from the ACCA exams, completion of which is required to become a chartered qualified accountant.
Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
On successful completion of the Accounting and Finance course you may be eligible for exemptions from professional CIMA exams which need to be completed to gain chartered management accountant status.
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
In order to become a Chartered Accountant you need to complete some professional exams set by the ICAEW. On completion of the Accounting and Finance course depending on the modules you have studied and your performance you may qualify for exemptions.
CPA Australia
To become a CPA, you will also need to satisfy CPA Australia’s required knowledge areas and have successfully completed the CPA Program examinations and the practical experience requirement.
Course delivery

- Practical Workshops: Develop hands-on skills and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing your problem-solving abilities.
Your progress is assessed through various coursework and exams, including reports, essays, presentations, and computer assignments. Satisfactory performance is necessary to advance, with your final degree based on accumulated marks and credits from all years, focusing on your second and third-year achievements.
You can take an international exchange period in your second year at a number of partner institutions across the world.

The modules described here are the ones that we currently offer and will give you a good idea of the range of subjects that we teach. However, as our undergraduate teaching is research-led and we constantly review our teaching to ensure that the modules that we offer are up to date, there may be changes to module titles and content.
Like all UAE Ministry of Education Higher Education Institutions we also run the below listed compulsory module. This module is designed to support talented graduates in the region, with the skills to aid and further employability. Please note this module must be completed and passed in addition to your core programme modules.

3 A Levels. Typical offer AAA-ABB. GCSE Mathematics at grade 6/B required.
General Studies not accepted as one of three A2s, but a good performance may be taken into account if you fail to meet the conditions of the offer and have General Studies as a fourth A2.
International Baccalaureate Diploma
6,6,6 at Higher Level with a minimum of 32 points overall.
