Qingzhe Du is a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual who graduated from the University of Sussex with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Culture Study in September 2020. Subsequently, he completed a Master of Science degree in International Business from the University of Exeter in January 2022. With a passion for understanding the sociological implications of work and employment, he has developed a deep interest in the future of work, the impact of digital management technologies on employees' work experiences, responsible autonomy, organisational power and control, and work-employment relations.
Qingzhe Du is pursuing a PhD, intending to examine the panoptic effects of digital Taylorism in remote workplaces within China's Internet Service Industry. His research aims to shed light on to what extent digital Taylorism as a new frontier of control generates panoptic effects in remote workplaces and influences the responsible autonomy of knowledge workers in China's Internet services Industry. Meanwhile, Qingzhe Du will also discuss the sub-question of how employees can achieve sousveillance resistance to management surveillance through the mechanism of panoptic effects.
Qingzhe Du's academic pursuits demonstrate his intellectual rigour and dedication to exploring complex socio-economic phenomena. He is well-versed in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and adept at using them to interrogate the most pressing issues in the workplace.
