Professor Kiran Trehan "Small and medium-sized enterprises are the key to economic growth: a loud refrain heard from all quarters in the UK these days. A little less loud, but significant nonetheless, is an understanding amongst policy makers and practitioners of the importance of enterprise diversity."
Kiran’s research focuses on facilitating enterprise and leadership for businesses in the UK. She is also Academic Director for the Centre for Women’s Enterprise and Leadership (CWEL). Kiran has a particular interest in developing innovative approaches to business support and how it can be applied in a variety of policy and community domains which are traditionally under-represented as small business owners. This work has a direct impact on policy and the regional economy by providing practical solutions for budding entrepreneurs and facilitating entrepreneurial opportunities in diverse communities.
