We are inviting staff at the University of Birmingham to submit PhD project applications for the 2025 cohort of the Centre for National Training and Research Excellence in Understanding Behaviour (Centre-UB).
Deadline for submitting your project application is Wednesday 11 December 2024, at 13:00. To submit your application, please submit this application form, together with a letter of support from the partner organisation here.
Centre-UB behavioural research innovation and excellence is focused on three broad, multidisciplinary pillar themes spanned by one cross-cutting theme to recognise that, while behaviour can be studied at the level of the individual, all behaviour, exists within the context of multiple systems. The themes are: 1) Digital harms and goods, 2) Equity in physical and mental wellbeing, 3) Environmental change and sustainability, and 4) Systems thinking (cross-cutting theme).
All PhD projects will have to be co-produced with a non-academic partner organisation (private, public or third sector) with interest and expertise in human behaviour. Centre-UB can facilitate connections between partner organisations and supervisors at the University of Birmingham. If you are interested in this, please let us know on centre-ubehaviour@contacts.bham.ac.uk and we will get in touch with you about this.
More detailed guidelines for project applications can be found here.
Please do not hesitate to contact us on centre-ubehaviour@contacts.bham.ac.uk if you have any questions about this.
