The University of Birmingham, in conjunction with Caterpillar UK, has established a series of scholarships for undergraduate students studying engineering at the University who began their studies in the 2013/14 academic year.
Following a successful recruitment process, six scholarships have been awarded to first year undergraduate engineering students.
Congratulations to Julia Chan, Ahmad Khan, Mohammed Khan, Ahmad Khattab, Kamil Osman and Zeerak Shahab, who met recently with Simon Collins, Caterpillar EAME Future Talent Development Manager, and officers from the University to discuss the scholarship and begin planning future activities.
This association with Caterpillar, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-¬-electric locomotives, affords our scholars with an opportunity to make a significant contribution to encouraging future generations of students to study engineering within the UK.
