The WAVES (West Midlands ActiVe lifestyle and healthy Eating in School children) study is a cluster randomised controlled trial which will assess the clinical and cost-effectiveness of a community-level, multi-component intervention programme that aims to help children aged 6-7 years maintain a healthy weight.
The trial aims to assess the clinical and cost-effectiveness of a programme of activities to encourage healthy lifestyle choices among children aged 6-7 years with the aim of helping them maintain a healthy weight. The trial is set in the West Midlands, UK, within a multiethnic population.
