Arrival and Welcome
Arrivals Weekend and Welcome Week begin from Saturday 18 September. Many students moving into University accommodation arrive during this weekend as we offer dedicated support at each of our villages. Arriving prior to Welcome Week enables you to take advantage of the support available on campus, induction events and orientation of your facilities.
Plan your events for Welcome Week using our induction events planner, and use our Welcome site for useful advice on services open during Arrivals weekend, travelling to campus and getting set up with your University email and login details.

Academic preparation
You can also begin to prepare for your academic studies by looking into preparatory reading, checking when and how you will be required to choose your modules, as well as planning your time in your first few weeks as you begin to receive more reading and preparatory work for seminars.
We have produced some short online inductions on Canvas the University's e-learning platform, to help you evaluate your study skills, consider extra-curricular opportunities, and understand what support is on offer to you, all before you start your studies. These can be accessed once you have registered as a new student online.
