Our Women in STEM Day is an inspiring day which aims to motivate Year 10 girls to continue studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at GCSE, A-Level and beyond by giving them the opportunity to explore targeted workshops and career opportunities within STEM.
This day is about exploring career opportunities and breaking down barriers and perceptions of Women in STEM, inspiring them to perform in the STEM subjects at school and continue learning STEM subjects as they go on in their studies.
Date: March 2025
Location: Old Engineering Building / Mechanical Engineering Building (Y3 on campus map).
Time: 09:50-15:30 with arrivals and registration from 09:30, until 14:30, or 15:00 if schools opt-in for a campus tour.
Schedule: Women in STEM features the opportunity to take part in an interactive STEM workshops,a careers workshop attend a talk and there is also the option for a campus tours for schools who opt-in.
Registration will open in December 2024.
