Lida Skoufa is a research associate in the School of Physical Education and Sport Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She completed her undergraduate degree in the School of Psychology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and her postgraduate studies in "Pain management" at the Medical School of University of Ioannina, Greece. Since October 2016 she is a PhD candidate with her research focusing in the evaluation of a psychological intervention for altering the doping related attitudes of athletes with muscle dysmorphia.
Lida is also a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, member of the European Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and from 2013 to 2016 has worked as a psychotherapist in a private mental health center in Thessaloniki.
