What is the best thing about the job you are doing now?
The variety and reward of teaching students over a demanding 5-year course. Also publishing our research in high impact factor journals and ensuring REF return-ability of my entire team. I also enjoy my clinical work and have established national as well as regional services. We also have an international reputation in our field of research and enjoy multiple invitations every year to share our work in diverse countries.
What did you think were the best points of the course and the University?
My PhD supervisor, Dr John Matthews, who was superb!
What advice would you give to current students studying on the course?
Continue your education for life when you graduate and always be a caring and ethical clinician.
