Comments on Laura D’Olimpio’s 'The Necessity of Aesthetic Education'

You are invited to a panel discussion to celebrate the publication of Laura D’Olimpio’s ‘The Necessity of Aesthetic Education: the place of the arts on the curriculum’ (Bloomsbury, 2024).

Three respondents will reflect on the defence of aesthetic education: Professor Kristjan Kristjansson (Professor of Character Education and Virtue Ethics at University of Birmingham’s Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues), Dr Elizabeth O’Brien (Assistant Professor of Teacher Education at Maynooth University) and Simon Larter-Evans (Principal of Tring Arts College). Laura will offer a reply.

This event is hybrid and for those attending in person, drinks and nibbles will be provided. All welcome.
