University of Birmingham’s SEREDA project together with Rainbow Migration invite you to the online launch of Forced migration and sexual and gender-based violence in queer communities: UK findings from the SEREDA project.

This report is the culmination of a year of interviews by queer researchers in the Institute for Research into International Migration and Superdiversity (IRiS) with specialist LGBTQI+ refugee support services and queer people seeking asylum from across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The findings expose an asylum system that is dangerous for queer people needing sanctuary.

Please join us for the online launch at 13.00 on Tuesday 26th June to hear more about this important research and how we can reimagine an asylum system that is safe and fit for purpose.
