Railway Track Inspection - Perspectives and supporting Technology Workshop

This workshop will investigate the developments in the railway track inspection technologies. The panel session will give the opportunity for participants to discuss the current problems they face with track inspection and devise solutions. Actions will be proposed to better understand the threats and to apply new technologies, systems, strategies and processes to improve track inspection of the railway The event will bring together key stakeholders from industry, transport authorities and academia.

Getting there

By Car: There is limited car parking on campus, however, the nearest parking is at the North East Car Park on Pritchatts Road. There is a pay-and-display facility. The best post code for SatNav is B15 2SA. The venue is approximately 10 - 15 minutes walk away.

By Train: There is a station at the University (search for "University" on Train Planner). The venue is approximately 5 minutes walk away, turning left at the station exit. There are regular services from Birmingham New Street, and the journey takes less than 10 minutes.
