Resilience, Recovery, and the Role of Mental Health Social Work
The presentation will present the findings of a scoping review into the perceptions of ‘resilience’ as part of mental health recovery journeys for those with experiences of psychosis. The presentation will outline the conceptual contestations of ‘recovery’ and ‘resilience’ in mental health contexts and share the findings of a thematic analysis of relevant literature on this topic. These findings will be considered with a focus on the professional offering of social work to mental health services and service users.
