The UK Energy Storage Conference 2015 will be held at the University of Birmingham on Wednesday 25 – Friday 27 November 2015.
The Energy Storage Research Network (ESRN), the Energy SUPERSTORE and the STFC Network in Battery Science and Technology, all funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), are hosting the second UK Energy Storage Research Conference (UKES2015), and providing an inclusive platform for all researchers in Energy Storage to present their work through talks and poster sessions. In line with the ethos of the Energy SUPERSTORE, the conference endeavours to bring together researchers from academia, industry and policy and across the whole field of energy storage, inspiring collaborations for future research.
The conference is aimed at PhD students, early career, and senior researchers in industry, academia, research institutes and government in the UK and internationally.
Session Themes include:
- Lithium and sodium batteries
- Thermal and Mechanical storage
- Flow batteries
- Supercapacitors
- Power to Gas
- Battery management and control
- Grid scale storage (including policy & economic issues, renewables integration, scale-up)
- Storage for Transport (automotive, shipping, aircraft)

Call for abstracts for the conference is now open. PhD students, early career researchers, researchers in industry and senior scientists are welcome to submit half to one page abstracts detailing their research and giving an overview of the results they wish to present through the online “Call for Abstracts” submission form by Friday 31 July 2015.
