The commercialisation of energy technologies, products, and services is vital for the success of our Government’s commitment to achieve Net Zero by 2050. Yet many businesses do not have access to the support services needed to research, test and grow their innovations.
Supported by HSBC UK* and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the University of Birmingham Climate Innovation Platform (CIP) is delivering a series of business development opportunities to support businesses committed to driving energy technology innovation.
Based at Tyseley Energy Park, within Birmingham's Green Energy and Innovation Quarter, CIP offers businesses on any of their support programmes the opportunity to access funding, incubation support/space and join a growing network of cleantech innovators.
*We conduct thorough due diligence to ensure that our supporters and partners are committed to reducing their environmental impact. Whilst we are aware that HSBC currently finances a number of industries that significantly contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, we know they have a strategy in place to help their customers reduce their emissions and to reduce their own.
