This conference will highlight the latest research carried out by CCJP members and external colleagues, and bring together practitioners and academics working in this field.
We are pleased to announce that the Centre for Crime, Justice and Policing’s annual conference will be held on Friday 14 June, at the University of Birmingham.
This conference will highlight the latest research carried out by CCJP members and external colleagues, and bring together practitioners and academics working in this field.
This year confirmed speakers include Professor Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay, Professor Jessica Woodhams, Professor Dominique Moran, Professor Julie Taylor, Dr. Marianne Wade, Dr. Heather Flowe, Dr. Anna Kotova, Dr. Caroline Bradbury-Jones, Dr. Kari Davies, and Dr. Sami Bensassi from the University of Birmingham, keynotes and session talks from our distinguished external colleagues Dr. Rachel Lovell (Case Western Reserve University),Professor Chris Meissner (Iowa State University) and Professor Nikos Passas (Northeastern University).
Topics include research findings on dark web child sexual abuse offenders, the militarisation of the Criminal Justice System, analysis of alternatives to custody, and the wellbeing of CJS employees. Lunch will be provided, and will give you an opportunity to browse the posters and media that will be displayed throughout the conference. You will also be welcome to join us for dinner (to be confirmed during the registration process).
