Quantum Neuroscience: Inauguration of the OPM facility at the CHBH
- Location
- Alan Walters Building (Main Lecture Theatre)
- Dates
- Thursday 13 October 2022 (12:30-17:00)
OPMs (Optically Pumped Magnetometers) refer to a new type of sensor used for brain imaging based on magnetoencephalography (MEG). The sensors allow for measuring human brain activity. We have established a new facility for OPM research emerging from a collaboration between the Centre for Human Brain Health, the School of Physics and the Quantum Hub. We aim to apply and develop the OPM sensors and apply them in cognitive and clinical neuroscience
At the symposium, state-of-the-art research on OPMs will be presented. We will also do a tour of the new OPM facility.
