Event details

A seminar style training session for staff who work in laboratories that process and/or analyse human tissue samples for Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs). This session will introduce the Laboratory Master File (LMF), explain what its contents should include and where to find guidance on how to create one.

Aims and objectives:

This training session will help you to:

  1. Be aware what a LMF is and when one is required
  2. Understand what the LMF should (and shouldn’t) contain
  3. Know where to find guidance on setting up and maintaining your LMF
  4. Be aware of common issues with LMFs

Target audience:

You will be a researcher, or a member of professional services staff, involved in the laboratory processing and/or analysis of human samples for CTIMPs. You would like to gain a better understanding of how to set up and maintain a laboratory master file.

Please note this training course is only open to University of Birmingham Staff and Postgraduate Students.

Why this course:

This course will provide an overview of what should be included in a LMF to help researchers meet the requirements of GCP in the laboratory, as well as highlighting where support with the development and maintenance of LMFs.
