This network has been funded by an LMS Scheme 3 Grant since 2005, and has received partial support from ERC since 2012. The HanPDE network has its own webpage. Currently it includes Bath, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Madrid and Warwick as its nodes.
North British Functional Analysis Seminars
The North British Functional Analysis Seminar (NBFAS) was founded in February 1968 by the late Frank Bonsall and John Ringrose with a meeting at the University of Edinburgh. The founding universities were Edinburgh and Newcastle. Since then, almost 200 meetings took place at the growing number of member institutions (at present 12 universities in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland) with the purpose to bring to the UK leading figures in functional analysis that are based outside the UK. The seminar normally meets three times a year, holding a one or two-day meeting in one of its member institutions, where distinguished mathematicians, usually from abroad, are invited to lecture.
