PhD opportunities
Human Geography at Birmingham is part of the UK Government funded Midlands Graduate School, alongside Warwick, Nottingham, Loughborough, Leicester and Aston Universities. Established in 2016, The Midlands Graduate School is an accredited Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP).
The DTP offers 17 different training pathways that span various social science disciplines; normally 3-4 postgraduate studentships will be awarded annually across the pathways and institutions. In addition, HG staff often advertise stand-alone PhD funding opportunities on https://www.findaphd.com/
