Sunday 21 June

The registration and welcome reception on Sunday 21 June have been modified since the Lapworth Museum is closed for refurbishment. These events will be held in the Undercroft which is between the Biosciences and the Geography buildings; the entrance is on the east side, facing the ring road.  A registration desk will be available from 4 pm and a drinks reception will be held from 6.30 to 8.30 pm

Monday 22 June

  • Opening of formal meeting: oral and poster presentations 
  • Evening meeting of IAH & UIS karst commissions

Tuesday 23 June

  • Morning oral and poster presentations
  • Afternoon. Optional field trip to local underground limestone quarry visited by canal barge
  • Or workshops
  • or free time to visit local area
  • Evening. Conference dinner

  • Oral and poster presentations; close of formal meeting

Conference delegates seeking a complete break on the Tuesday afternoon have a wide choice of touristic activities. Within easy walking distance of the conference venue and the University Conference Park are the collections of the Barber Institute of Fine ArtsLapworth Museum of Geology, and the delights of Winterbourne House and Garden, all of which are part of the university. 

The city of Birminghamoffers a huge range of attractions.
