Chamberlain Award 2024 entry | University | Closes 31/12/2024 | The standard Chamberlain Award for 2024 entry is £2,000 per year of study, subject to continued eligibility and normal academic progression. Awards will be paid in two equal instalments: one in late January 2025 and one in early May 2025. Payment will be made directly into the bank account you have nominated for your Maintenance Loan.
Students eligible for a standard Chamberlain Award who are from a Polar 4 quintile 1 area, are care experienced or estranged as verified by the Student Loans Company, and decide to live in University-owned accommodation will receive an additional one-off award of £1,000 (in their first year of study only). Please note that this excludes all partner accommodation, including Oak Brook Park, Battery Park, The Metalworks and Selly Oak Court. This additional award will be applied as a reduction in your accommodation fees from the end of January in your first year. You will receive an email notification on 26 January 2025 if you are eligible for the accommodation award. There is no cash alternative.

- £2,000 award for students who have a household income of £25,000 or less
- £1,000 award for students who have a household income between £25,001 and £35,000

Gateway To Work Experience Bursary | University | No deadline; open-ended award | The Bursary is designed to support students in covering the costs associated with unpaid or low-paid work experience. It is not designed to be a wage substitute. Eligible students can apply for up to a maximum of £2500. The amount you apply for will depend on the individual circumstances of your proposed work experience up to the maximum amount. In the past bursaries have supported in covering expenses including:

- Living costs
- Utilities bills
- Insurance
- Childcare
