We offer access to our NMR spectrometers equipped with Oxford Instruments and Bruker magnets (500-1000 MHz, extended to include 1.2 GHz in 2025) and Bruker consoles for characterising protein structure & dynamics, ligand screening and metabolic profiling.

The magnet names are derived from books by J.R.R. Tolkien, who lived in Birmingham from 1895 to 1911, staying in the nearby neighbourhoods of Edgbaston, Moseley, Sarehole and King's Heath.
