We cover subject areas such as health management, leadership, social care, and health policy. We support a diverse group of users: members of the University; staff across independent institutions researching healthcare provision and health policy; as well as local authority and NHS employees. Amongst others, these are: staff at HSMC participants on the NLA Elizabeth Garrett Anderson programme the Nuffield Trust the Health Foundation ADASS IMPACT -Improving Adult Care Together KES Services Open all sections Literature Searching We provide support at all stages of a literature search for academic staff, our contract users, and externally funded bids. Current awareness services We compile a number of current awareness bulletins on topics such as: public health, social care, the health workforce, and international health. In addition to these specialist bulletins, we provide a daily health-related news digest, and we send out comprehensive subject-focused searches fortnightly. Training Sessions We provide tailored training sessions to contract users, current staff and students on topics such as: strategies for literature searches; databases; referencing; referencing software. Book lending and article supply We can supply books and other material from our comprehensive collection. Books can be borrowed either in person or via our postal loans service. We can also provide access to articles published in a wide range of specialist academic journals.
