International Women's Day 2025

International Women's Day (IWD) on 8 March celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. To mark IWD, the University runs a diverse programme of events throughout March, focusing on women's voices history and experiences. 

The theme for IWD 2025 is The theme for 2025 is #AccelerateAction and is a call to drive forward the changes still needed to achieve true global equality for women and girls.

This is a great time to get inspired and think about putting on your own event as part of the programme, if your not already a member you could considering joining the Women's Network.  You could share pictures on social media of you getting involved in IWD activities using the #UoBwomen and #AccelerateAction.
