Health Systems Research Centre (HSRC Dubai)

The Health Systems Research Centre will support health policy research and development, deliver excellent education and put policy into practice.

The centre is proactively engaging with local, regional, and international networks and communities of practice to support the launch of HSRC Dubai with the following aims:

  • to provide a regional and global hub for research excellence in health systems
  • to provide thought leadership in health system challenges such as workforce development, climate sustainability, digital innovation, and population health
  • to coordinate University of Birmingham Dubai wide research in global health systems
  • to promote an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to University of Birmingham Dubai research and development

With a planned launch in April 2024 our preparatory work will be engaging in priority setting exercises with relevant local and regional stakeholders to better understand the health system challenges and research needs of these respective groups.

The centre will also seek to establish collaborative links with other Universities and complement other partnerships between developed at the Dubai campus.

To support the launch of the centre, we will also be hosting events and research symposia that will invite academics and practitioners to contribute to a vision of ‘health systems’ excellence.
