Join us for a digital masterclass on Software Exploitation and Cyber Security.
About the event
Computer technologies are dependent on the effective functionalities of different software components. Unfortunately, software codes may have flaws that make them vulnerable and exploitable by attackers. Software exploitation may entail taking control of an application and altering its execution. Whenever this occurs, the integrity of the software and the underlying system is compromised. This calls for the continuous development of robust software protection methods and technologies.
Attend our masterclass on Software Exploitation and Security on Wednesday, 5 June from 18:00 to 19:30. The masterclass will discuss some of the most prevalent software vulnerabilities such as the classical buffer overflow vulnerability, and the more advanced Return Oriented Programming (ROP) attacks. We will conclude the discussion by looking at mitigation techniques for these attacks
The masterclass will also feature a presentation about the University of Birmingham Dubai. Our programme director will go over the programme overview, study options, and employability outcomes of our newly launched MSc Cyber Security programme. Our Admissions team will also be available to answer queries related to applications, offers, admissions guidelines, and next steps.
This event will take place on Zoom and a link will be shared upon booking.
