On Tuesday 21 July, University of Birmingham representatives from Alumni Relations and Careers Network were joined by some of our outstanding alumni mentors and mentees, who have recently completed the 2014/15 Alumni Leadership Mentoring programme (ALMP), to celebrate another successful year of mentoring and wish the new graduate mentees the best of luck as they embark on their career journey.
The event was kindly hosted by current ALMP mentor Baroness Doreen Massey at the House of Lords where everyone involved in the programme were given the opportunity to share experiences and offer further encouragement to the mentees.
The ALMP started in 2011, with a small group of extremely inspiring and proud to be Birmingham graduates who have gone above and beyond to reach their goals in order to be the best in their field. We now have 20 excellent volunteer mentors on this programme, which provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for students who show high potential and leadership qualities to gain access to get advice and 121 guidance from a leader in their chosen career field. For more information about the programme see the Careers Network website.
