The Centre for Elections, Democracy, Accountability and Representation (CEDAR) would like to invite you to an upcoming workshop on the Unintended Consequences of Combating Corruption
Convened by Manoel Gehrke
The workshop is scheduled to start at 10:30 and will take place in Room 710 of the Muirhead Tower.
During the workshop, we will explore questions such as the following: Why does raising awareness of corruption often backfires? How does the public react to arrests for corruption in authoritarian settings? Does the punishment of corruption lead to political polarisation and make anti-establishment politicians more likely to run for office?
