The new Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers was launched by Vitae on 12th September 2019. The Concordat is an agreement between stakeholders, including universities and funding bodies, to improve the environment and support for researchers and researcher careers in higher education in the UK. In order to raise awareness of the Concordat, what it means for you as a researcher and the ways in which the University is supporting researchers, we are running this information session to provide you with further information.
Professor Tim Softley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Knowledge Transfer will be joining us to talk about what the Concordat means for the University and how the University plans to respond.
Our other speakers are Vince O’Grady, Organisational Development Consultant for People & Organisational Development (POD), and Doug Browning, Research Fellow in the School of Biosciences and Midlands Regional Rep for the UK Research Staff Association (UKRSA).
The venue will be confirmed once numbers are known.
