The Genesis of Automobile Perception
In her inaugural lecture, Professor Marina Gashinova will unfold the historic evolution of the perception of cars as part of the human identity as well as exploring the expectations, reality and the challenges that are demanded with the revolution of automobile concept poised for the future autonomous world.
Since 2011, Professor Marina Gashinova has held an academic position and was promoted to Professor in Pervasive Sensing in 2018. Marina has established herself as a leader in several areas of research in radar and remote sensing. For the last 6 years Marina has established herself as one of the leaders in the emerging field of THz sensing for short-medium sensing, in particularly for automotive sensing for autonomous cars. As such she is the Terahertz Research Lead for the Microwave Integrated Systems Laboratory (MISL).
