Keep at it - don't give up even if you have project difficulties
[After graduation] I went straight into industry - first food/dairy manufacturing, then into food/dairy equipment manufacture, then technical sales of process equipment, became director, set up own specialist engineering business, business closed down so change of direction - property development in France, then back to UK as carbon management consultant. Now I am near retirement.
What is the best thing about what you are doing now?
I am still involved in interesting and mentally-challenging work.

What advice would you give to current PhD students?
Keep at it - don't give up even if you have project difficulties. And don't forget to make time to write up afterwards, even if you go straight into a job.
