Will's job involves designing major pieces of equipment such as heat exchangers or reactors. He's ables to work on global projects, as well as volunteer with the local community and schools.
His favourite memories of the University include his time with the Chemical Engineering Society (BUCES), the careers opportunities they offer, and their sporting prowess in the national chemical engineering student sports competition. He also threw himself into the cycling team, plus several science and technology competitions such as the BP Ultimate Field Trip and Telegraph STEM Awards.
“Get as much experience as you can. It's really competitive out there and it sets you apart from the rest. I'd also say you don't have to be the most intelligent person to succeed. As long as you can show you're practical and can get stuck in, you'll get the job!”
