Using your content
At the University we believe that the best stories are those told by our own students and staff. We love to hear from you and would like to be able to share these stories to the world.
We want to be able to use the content you create to help us to demonstrate what a great place the University of Birmingham is. Therefore we'd like to ask you to help us by allowing us to use the content you create on our website and in our publications.
This can be done by using Creative Commons licencing. You can allow us to;
- share - copy, distribute and transmit your work
- remix - to adapt your work
- make commercial use of your work
We will have to make sure that we;
- attribute the work in the manner specified by you (but not in a way that suggest that the University endorses you or the use of your work)
All you need to do is to visit the Creative Commons website and choose a licence under which to attribute your content. We prefer that all people submitting content to us do so under the Attribution 3.0 Unported licence, further details of which can be found on the Creative Commons website.
By allowing us to use your content under this licence means we can make the best use of the stories you wish to tell. There are however other licences which you can attribute content under. Please ensure that when you agree to allow us to use your content you are clear which Creative Commons licence you are agreeing to us using the content under, we will require written confirmation of the licence when we contact you regarding using your content.
