I am a priest in the Church of England and spent 10 years as Vicar of St Margaret’s, Thornbury in Bradford where I built a church and multifaith community centre, and 5 years as Archdeacon of Loughborough. After that I went on to be CEO of Church Urban Fund, where I founded the Together Network, The Near Neighbours Programme and The Just Finance Foundation. I am currently Chair of the Christian Projects Committee of the Henry Smith Charity and a Trustee of St John’s Hospital in Jerusalem which provides eyecare in Jerusalem, on the Westbank and in Gaza. I am employed as CEO of Toc H, where I am working with the trustees to renew the organisation by developing a number of neighbourhood based social enterprises which act as hubs for work with older people on issues of loneliness and to support young people to develop resilience and find employment.
