He uses techniques in robotics and virtual reality to understand how the brain collaborates with eyes, muscles and bones to coordinate our sensation and movement and is keen to apply the outcomes of research to diagnose and rehabilitate motor diseases and injuries. His current research interest lies in hand-eye coordination, model of sensorimotor motor learning and adaptation, and development of a new muscle mechanics model. After gaining experiences in computer animation industry as a software developer, he joined in computer science department at University of British Columbia and completed his PhD in neuromusculoskeletal modeling and simulation. Prior to taking up the post of Lecturer at Birmingham, he worked as a research associate at Sensorimotor Learning Group at University of Cambridge.
