Dr Carl Krynicki

Carl is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology and Clinical Psychologist in the NHS. Carl currently teaches on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate at the University of Birmingham, where he is lead for the Clinical Neuropsychology module, lead for second year Clinical Psychology Trainees as well as supporting in program selection. Carl also supervises a number of research projects. 

Carl sits on the British Psychological Society’s Division of Clinical Psychology West Midlands Branch committee.

Biography

Carl completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology followed by a master’s degree in Clinical Neuroscience. Following this, Carl began working in the Schizophrenia Research Group at the University of Birmingham with Professor Upthegrove attached to a number of research studies. Whilst working as a Research Associate at the University of Birmingham, Carl embarked upon a PhD looking at the relationship between depression and negative symptoms in schizophrenia. Following his PhD, Carl began training in Clinical Psychology. Upon completion of his clinical training, Carl took up employment as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Birmingham and Clinical Psychologist in the NHS.
