Chongfeng Wei  is a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering of University  of Birmingham, he has a favourable knowledge in both mathematics and vehicle dynamics, as he has completed his BSc in Mathematics in Southwest Jiaotong University in China, and has concentrated most of his research in vehicle system dynamics during his MSc study.

He has engaged in a study on "Time domain Track irregularities and its influence on wheel set longitudinal vibration" in his postgraduate study, and also finished a project titled “Dynamics analysis & simulation of 140km/h metro car”. In his PhD programme, vehicle system dynamics and tyre dynamics are Mr. Wei’s research interests.

Biography

Mr. Chongfeng Wei graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University with a BSc in Mathematics in 2009, and was recommended to the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power in Southwest Jiaotong University without taking an entrance examination. And then he completed his MSc Degree of Vehicle Engineering in 2011, which is one year ahead comparing to the common graduate year. He was awarded The Birmingham Li Siguang PhD Scholarship to Study in University of Birmingham for his PhD programme in September 2011.

Vehicle structure dynamics, tyre dynamics, multi-body dynamics.
