Kathrin teaches German law and European Union law. Her research focuses broadly on European Union law, constitutional law, fundamental rights law, and migration law.

Biography

Dr Kathrin Hamenstädt joined Birmingham Law School as a DAAD-Lecturer in September 2023. Prior to joining Birmingham, Kathrin held positions as Assistant Professor (Leiden University, NL), Lecturer in Law (Brunel University, UK), DAAD-Lecturer (King's College London, UK) and tutor in law (Maastricht University, NL).
