Biography

Nadine Sturm is the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Lecturer in German Studies (Department of Modern Languages). Her interests lie in both English and German language and literature, especially from present-day. While her first degree covered all topics in a broader sense, she went on focusing on linguistics in her second degree with a thesis on an emerging progressive construction (“am-progressive form”) in German.

Ms Sturm has worked at the International Office at Leibniz University Hannover, advising students as well as researchers on the university system in Germany. As DAAD Lecturer, she is continuing this task at University of Birmingham, where she will advise researchers and students on funding, study or research opportunities in Germany.
