Postgraduate supervision

Paul Harrison is the Scar free Foundation Senior Lecturer within the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing. Dr Harrison is researching into the influence of traumatic injury and burns on the systemic inflammatory response with a particular focus on haemostatic and thrombotic parameters. He is also a member of the Birmingham platelet group.

Current PhD projects include :-
1) Measurement of preplatelets in inherited and acquired thrombocytopenia
2) Neutrophil Extracellular Traps in Thermal and Traumatic Injury
3) Measurement of extracellular vesicles in cardiovascular disease by a novel interferometric imaging method

If you are interesting in studying any of these subject areas please contact Dr Paul Harrison directly, or for any general doctoral research enquiries, please email mds-gradschool@contacts.bham.ac.uk.
