In my role as Head of Digital Education for the College of Arts and Law I provide expert guidance on all elements of digital education across the College’s programme portfolio and consultative advice across the University.

My team and I work closely with academic and professional services colleagues across the college, championing and supporting the use of the core institutional digital tools for teaching and learning, and providing learning design consultation for the development of online courses.

I am part of the Digital Education leadership team, with specific responsibilities as lead for Panopto lecture capture, Digital Accessibility, and managing a number of our digital tool supplier relationships. My work is embedded within the College, yet takes me across the institution and more widely across the sector.

Biography

Having worked for 11 years as a Visiting Lecturer in the College of Arts and Law, I moved to a full time position in the College in 2014 as an Educational Technologist supporting the use of TEL and developing online content. I moved to become Head of Digital Education for the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS) in November 2016 where I led a team providing support to the College in the use of the core digital tools (Canvas, Panopto, PebblePad, Turnitin and Turning Point) and working on digital teaching and learning projects.

From April 2021 I took up post as Head of Digital Education in the College of Arts and Law whilst continuing to lead the Digital work in EPS until October 2021.
