Hasan Tariq is currently a PhD researcher in Environmental Health and Risk Management working on a Siemens-UoB Research Project. His research focuses on Real-time Indoor Environmental Quality by on-site sampling, detection and measurement of airborne pollutants and pathogens. He designs and implements methods and solutions for real-time multi-scale assessments and patterns detection with multi-variable and multi-modal data (Time-series, Spatio-temporal, Spectro-temporal) to explore integrated studies in atmospheric chemistry and microbiology.

Biography

(2022-Present) PhD Research: Hasan Tariq is a year-2 Ph.D. candidate at GEES, LES at the University of Birmingham, and the area of his research is Environmental Health focused on Atmospheric Pollutants and Pathogens and their Detection, Measurement, and Risk Assessment.

(2016-2022) Past Research Experience & Skills: 6+ years of delivering Product Family Engineering (PFE) of MVPs for Environmental (Air, Water, Soil, Agronomics) Quality Sensors, Measurement, and Monitoring Systems & WSNs with 12+ years of experience in TRL7~9 Smart Devices Design, Fabrication, and Mass Production for Research & Urban Scale monitoring requirements of government institutions. He has authored 3 Books, 30+ Research Papers, and 17+ International Research Grants in the last 5.5 years.

(2009-2016) Past Industry Experience & Skills: 7+ years of delivering Systems Integration and Industrial Automation Solutions, Services and Applications in Process (PCS), Manufacturing (MES), Batch (BPS), and Building (BMS) for different sectors, specifically Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, and Food and Beverages. PLCs/PACs/IEDs/Drives/HMIs/DCS/SCADA based FEED/DEED and LCA Deliverables for EPC/LSTK Ecosystems.

Outcomes focused in Atmoshperic Risk/Forecasting Models, Methods, Procedures, Protocols and Solutions, Design, Development, Testing and Validation over Urban-scale Data with application tailored analytics and parametric insights.
