My research incorporates corpus linguistic methodology and is primarily concerned with irony, humour and language creativity. Biography Before working at ELAL, I taught English in a wide variety of contexts, including at the Birmingham International Academy. I’m particularly interested in technology use in the classroom and increasing learner autonomy and motivation.
