Louise is a lecturer in Primary Education on the PGDipEd course. She is also a personal tutor for students on the course. 

Before working at the University of Birmingham, Louise worked in primary and nursery schools in Birmingham, Scotland and Essex. She has lectured at two other universities in undergraduate and postgraduate primary education.

Biography

Louise has been involved in education as a teacher and lecturer for 27 years and has taught in all year groups from nursery to Year 11. She has been an Early Years Foundation Stage Leader, Maths Lead, Curriculum Lead and Assistant Head Teacher. Louise was a one of the founders that created a SEND school specialising in therapeutic teaching for children aged 5-16. She has provided professional development training in EYFS, assessment and Attachment and Trauma Awareness.

As a lecturer, Louise has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level in early years, maths and professional studies. She has participated in early years education and forest school training visits to Sweden on a number of occasions.
