Dr Aida Layachi is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Education.

Aida holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Birmingham. She has experience at different levels of education and have worked in different contexts. She has a strong interest in inclusive and special education, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and inclusion practices in Low-and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). Recently, Aida worked as an associate research consultant at the University of Nottingham on the use of educational technologies for children with SEND in Malawi. 

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Badji Mokhtar- Annaba University, Algeria, Aida continues to research and advocate for teaching practices that foster equitable access and inclusive education for students with SEND.
