Dr. Ahmed Mohammed is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management and Program Director for the MSc SCM program at the University of Birmingham (Dubai Campus). Ahmed has a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Portsmouth in the UK. His research focuses on modeling and optimization of supply chains toward sustainability and resiliency.

Biography

Dr. Ahmed Mohammed is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management and Program Director for the MSc SCM program at the University of Birmingham (Dubai Campus). Prior to this position, Ahmed was the Acting Director of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics and Associate Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Muscat University. He has 13 years of academic and industrial experience in the UK and the Middle East. Ahmed has a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Portsmouth/UK.

His research focuses on modeling and optimization of supply chains toward sustainability and resiliency. Over a period of 5 years, Ahmed has published around 50 peer-reviewed journals (e.g., IJPE, IJPR, TRE, CAIE, ESWA, JCLP, and ANOR) and conference papers and conducted several collaborative projects with industry. Also, He is a reviewer for several quality journals such as IJPE, TRE, TRD, Omega, IET, and IJPR.
