Dr. Sauleh Eetemadi is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Birmingham Dubai. After finishing his master’s from Michigan State University in 2005, he joined the Natural Language Processing group in Microsoft Research as a Research Software Development Engineer where over the course of the next 13 years they developed a world class machine translation service. He also started and finished his PhD on the topic of Data Selection for Statistical Machine Translation during this time. Before starting his current role, he joined IUST as an Assistant Professor in 2018 where he taught many subjects including advanced programming, Data Structures, Algorithm Design, AI and NLP.
